Every Drop Counts Foundation
Our Organization
Every Drop Counts Foundation is an environmental NGO passionately committed to replenishing groundwater reserves and fostering a culture of water conservation and sustainability. Our primary objective is to support a diverse range of water-related projects and initiatives, from community-driven initiatives to large-scale conservation efforts. We strive to educate and empower individuals to become stewards of water resources, advocating for sustainable practices that address the pressing global water crisis. By nurturing a collective awareness of water's significance and promoting responsible water use, we aim to secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
About Founder Chairman
Shri P A Padmanabhan, a retired government servant, founded Every Drop Counts Foundation in 2008. Initially focused on his native village in Trivandrum, the foundation has expanded its reach to support water conservation efforts across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Padmanabhan pioneered a groundbreaking groundwater recharge technique using pressure chambers. This innovation has been instrumental in addressing water scarcity in numerous villages, providing a reliable water source during dry seasons.
Through collaboration with local authorities and dedicated volunteers, the foundation has successfully implemented rainwater harvesting projects and promoted sustainable water management practices. These efforts have garnered recognition and support from both state and central government bodies.
The foundation's dedication to water conservation and its commitment to community-led initiatives have made a significant impact on the region's water security.
Our Mission
To foster sustainable practices, Every Drop Counts Foundation aims to involve communities in rainwater harvesting projects. These initiatives are designed to replenish groundwater levels, ensuring a reliable water source for future generations. Simultaneously, the foundation promotes awareness about the importance of tree plantation, green initiatives, addressing climate crises, and effective water and waste management. By encouraging community participation and fostering environmental consciousness, the foundation seeks to create a more sustainable and resilient future for all.
